Calendar

Love this Calendar. Will be adding it to the top of my "Project" To Do List in 2010 - marked as a January project. As a matter of fact - I love pretty much anything on Teresa Collins blog! :)

Some Titan "Firsts"

We had Ti's 1 year old Doctor Appt. late this time around, middle of November to be exact, and then things have been so crazy since that appointment I have yet to document his stats. As of November 18th:

Weight: 23.6 pounds
Height: 30 inches
Cuteness Factor: OFF THE CHARTS!!!

Other news to document. Black Friday, we noticed Titan had his first tooth!!! We are so lucky with him. Thanksgiving and Black Friday he was a little off his game, but no more fussy than any other baby on a normal day. Then end of Friday - he bite down on my finger and there was a TOOTH!!! We kind of felt bad, since we didn't realize he was teething it had to come without any teething tablets, orajel, tylenol, etc. but Titan proved a VERY big boy and apparently didn't need any of those things. Then today, again, a little off his game...I checked and he is getting a 2nd tooth on top!!!

Other exciting news - on December 2nd - Titan took his first steps! He did them for his daddy. Mommy was up taking a shower!!! Stinker!!! He has also delighted his Aunt Ada with his walking skills...Mommy still has not seen any steps! We believe by Christmas we will have a walker on our hands - maybe not a super stable walker - but a walker still the same!

Live with Regis & Kelly

For years now (since I was in High School...quite possibly even before!) I have wanted to go to a taping of Live.

Every time I have been even remotely close to NY I have looked into getting tickets...but no such luck.

Then about a couple months ago they announced they were coming to Las Vegas!!! I entered online to get tickets. I also entered Broc as well trying to double our chances. My entries paid off because last Tuesday morning (November 17th) - there were the envelopes from ABC. The beautiful envelopes containing not one set of tickets - but 2 sets!!!

So Saturday afternoon we dropped off Ti off with babysitters and were off!!! We stayed Saturday night at the Ross Condo in St. George and then drove the rest of the way to Vegas sunday morning.

We were able to go to 2 different tapings of the show back to back and I loved every second of it. I can now check "go to a live taping of Regis and Kelly" off my life list.

We had great seats and it was a fantastic experience. Special thanks to Broc for being the best husband ever - being my plus 1 and driver!!! He was so great to help plan and implement this all so last minute. :)

Our camera isn't the best - but here are some of the photos I was able to take!

I love this table arrangement. The center piece is so simple, so elegant and so cheap! Perfect for a winter gathering around the table!!!

Coming Soon...

We will be going private!

Sometime before January 2010 I will be turning this blog into our private family blog and creating a new non private blog.

The family blog will of course contain more detail about our family, personal lives, and Titan.

The new non private blog, will I am sure occasionally have family appearances, but will primarily be for my own thoughts, writing, ideas, inspirations, etc. It will also serve as a channel to inform people when the private blog has a new post (thanks Terilyn for that idea!).

So for the 3 people that read this blog, please send me your email or post a comment with your info. Send your email to: cambriaparker53@gmail.com

And if there are other readers - friends, family, people from school, random nice "lurkers", whether I know you well or just a little...please send me your email or leave a comment as well! :) The more the merrier!!!

Titan's 1st Birthday - Part 1

Digging in!!!

Titan's b-day presents from us and my family.
I made Oreo Cheesecake Cupcakes to go with the cake and ice cream. All 30 were gone at the end of the night so I think they were a hit!!! So easy and so yummy!
Titan's Birthday Cake - tag reads: Best Kid Around!
The cakes from here are SO delicious!!!

Titan's "smash" cake.

This past week was spent busy celebrating Titan's birthday! On November 1st, Titan got to open his gifts from his G & G Parker as well as his Great G & G Ross.

Then this past Sunday (November 8th) we had my parents and siblings over to celebrate his birthday. Titan loves all of his new books, toys, and clothes and had TONS of fun eating his first cake! He had his own personal mini bundt cake to go at and once he got started...there was no stopping him! Above are video and pics from both B-day events.

HaPpy BiRthDay!!!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TITAN!!!

One year ago today...

More to come soon...

A date to remember...

Back when Broc and I were dating there were a few times that I got spooked and wanted to run (I had commitment issues I guess) so Broc devised a scheme he figured would keep me from running too soon...

Broc being the smart person that he is, suprised me on my 21st Birthday with tickets to the Faith Hill and Time McGraw concert...the only cath?!? He only gave me one ticket. He kept the other for himself. My birthday was at the beginning of our dating (1 month into it) and the concert wasn't until August!!! He wasn't so dumb. He knew I wanted to go to the concert, and he knew that this way I would either A) Keep dating him if nothing else to go to the concert and hopefully in the meantime fally madly in love with him, B) Just go to the concert by myself and invariably end up sitting next to him since he would have the other ticket or C) I would really have to hate him to not go or date him that long.

In the end...he won! We were still dating when the concert rolled around and it was one of the best nights ever. We spent the evening walking around Downtown eating at P.F. Changs, and then going to the concert! In fact we were engaged pretty soon after the concert.

I found the picture taken at P.F. Changs while I was sorting through drawers today and that is what prompted this post! Just wanted to jot down a memory!!! :)

Save me!

Broc and I were laughing a little while ago because Titan crawled up to us with this heart shaped person toy in his mouth. We
laughed pretty hard because all you could see were these hands and legs dangling from his mouth. He puts toys in his mouth when he needs to crawl and wants to take them wit him. This toy was just TOO funny!

Titan's 1st Halloween Costume (According to Aunt Ada)

Ada "borrowed" Titan the other day and brought him back upstairs dressed like this!

He is dressed in my first ever Clogging costume. I wore it when I was 5! That costume is now almost 20 years old...now that is a VERY strange thought!!!

Halloween 2009

Titan's 1st Halloween!!! Last year he was supposed to be here in time for Halloween but decided to wait a little longer before making his appearance! :)

For this year's Halloween Titan got to be a Skeleton. After looking at tons of costumes and all their parts, headpieces, tails, etc. I found this and thought...PERFECT! He won't even know he is wearing a costume. It was warm, comfortable, and cute!!! (And even better only $5 at Babies R Us)

It as fabulous as well that it was a black costume because Broc was given tickets to the U of U Football Game from his work and it was a "blackout" game.

We had dinner with my family - the traditional pumpkin pizza's - and then went to the game. There was no "Trick or Treating" for Titan, other than going next door and getting some yummy Graduates Puffs from Great Grandma Diane who always puts together cute halloween treat bags for her grandkids...and now her one great grandkid.

It was also a treat to get to see some of Broc's family who came in town from Seattle, Carolyn & Ashley.

All around, it was a great and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Here's to next year!!!

Rosenberry Rooms

I have been looking at artwork for a while now to go in Titan's room...someday (it's always a someday)! I want artwork that will grow with him and the room. I am also not a fan of hippity hoppity bunnies or cutsey monkeys in pastels or even cartoon characters in bright annoying colors.

Needless to say...I probably will not be your typical mom who just lets my kid pick their favorite cartoon character and then plasters it EVERYWHERE!!! That is not going to happen. I know kids like it but not in my house! That's what toys are for...and then at the end of the day those toys go in toy boxes or in closets!!! Call me a mean perfectionist mom...but I blame it on my design background.

Any way, back to the artwork, I found this website and LOVE their artwork:

www.rosenberryrooms.com

I am so excited I found them and have cataloged them away for future reference when it's time to decorate Ti's room. The above were some of my favorites for a boy's room.

For the week...

So I usually don't change my background for the holidays...but thought I would make an exception for this week in honor of Halloween!!! After Halloween it will be back to the black and white damask. Until then...humor me! :)

Hagatha

If you can't tell by now one of my absolute favorite things to do is decorate at the holidays and every year (right now) I purchase one item to add to my decor collection for each holiday. Well one item up to $50.00 or several items adding up to $50.00!

I think good ol' Hagatha might have to be my halloween decoration for this year...and she's even 50% off right now!!! Watching the demo, she is quiet fun and will be a great addition to my decor!!!

Love at 1st Sight

So I fell in love with the above turquoise ball ornaments from Z Gallery last night. Love is an understatement. Broc was laughing at me last night because I saw them and within minutes had a whole christmas tree theme planned around them!!! I would do a Tiffany's Peacock Tree (or something like that - name still needs work) complete with Tiffany jewelry boxes, jewels, peacocks, etc.

Now I just need a place to put my christmas tree. I guess it will have to wait another year until we are in a home/apartment of our own.

Until then though, I may just go pick up a few of these beauties and catalog the idea away for that day. :)

Poor Broc I have already told him to plan on having more than one Christmas Tree in our house and for there to be a new one every year (well once we are no longer starving students)...LOL
