My Biggy Boy!

Titan is getting so big way too quick ( I am sure I will be saying that over and over again over the next 20 years!) but it's true! He now sits in his bumbo and talks to me while I am working. He is definitely a momma's boy. As long as he can see me and hear me...he is totally content (most of the time). We really did luck out with him! Quoting his Aunt, "He is the golden child". Of course he is still little. :)

The Bachelor & Hair Loss

So since I have married into the Parker/Ross family...I have begun watching the Bachelor. This is one of the first seasons though that I've actually seen almost every episode. Every Monday night we are next door watching The Bachelor (yes, Broc watches it with us too).

I have to admit that my most favorite part of watching it, is Broc's commentary. He analyzes every conversation, facial experssion, etc. for all those who are watching. The entertaining part is...he's almost always right.

Like last week, Broc said Jill was going home. "She shouldn't have poured her heart out, big mistake!" I said "no way, she's going to be it, she's staying."

Who was right?!? Broc!!!

But now the question remains...will Jason go back to Deana? Or will he choose Melissa (Or as George called her last night Ursula) or Molly? I tried just asking Broc, so I could just bypass watching (like I would) but he says he needs to see Jason & Deana talk before he can give his final decision. So I guess we wait...

On a totally different topic this is a question for all you mommies out there:

What is the deal with hair loss after having your baby?!? Like SERIOUSLY!!! I swear I am going bald. Every morning and night CHUNKS of hair are falling out of my head!!! CHUNKS!!!

So my questions are:

1) When does it stop and why did it not start until the last week or so? (Titan is almost 4 months old for heaven's sake!)

2) I did just recently dye my hair a much darker color?!? Could it be it's not really falling out any more than usual but I am just noticing it more because it's darker and doesn't blend?!?

Any way, had to vent about that! I'd rather like to keep my hair!

Some of my favorite things (outside of Broc & Titan)...

1 - The Kura Door Spa in Salt Lake. Whether it's for a facial, a pedicure, a japanse bath, or a massage...I LOVE this place! From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave it is pure heaven and serenity. I also love the fact that it's up in the avenues in an out of the way place, a piece of Heaven you may not know even existed. I can only go every few months, but if I could I would go weekly!

2- Emerson Drive. They are just a happy, feel good, clean group! Their CD (well all their CD's) are ones I can put on and know I am going to love EVERY song that plays. They were also fabulous in concert.

3- Lie To Me. Broc and I have started watching this show (at my request) and I am HOOKED! It is so intriquing and I love the characters. Very interesting how they study human behavior and facial experessions. This kind of behavior study has ALWAYS interested me. In fact their job would probably be up there in my "top five" of potential jobs?!?

Baby and the Baa....

So forget weekly blogging...monthly seems good! :)

I guess our lives just really aren't that exciting...

Right now my life consists of Broc, Baby, Work and watching TV shows online.

For example this morning has consisted of sleeping until 9:00(Titan is a fabulous sleeper most nights-over 7 hours straight last night), Feeding and playing with Titan while watching the Bachelor online (it's like watching a car wreck you just can't stop watching), and now while Ty naps checking my email while eating sugar cookie dough and a slimfast for breakfast!

For those of you who know me or ever lived with me...you won't find that breakfast a suprise or shocking at all!

I was thinking last night though as Broc was playing with Titan that there are some memories I need to document before I forget them. For starters, the songs Broc sings to Titan:

1) The Baby and the Ba (tune taken from The Beauty and the Beast)
2) Another man can bathe another man in the good ol' land of oz (or something like that...) sung during bath time.
3) Everybody clap your hands it's time for the naky dance do do do do do do do do...(We can thank Aunt Tara for this one) sung during diaper changing time.
4) One taken from Unkie Conner, "push it out, shove it out, WAAAAY out." Also during diaper time.

...and there are many others I will have to write down as I hear them. Every day it seems Broc has a new one.

We can't believe the "little guy" is going to be 3 months old next week! I keep telling him not to grow but he does it when we are not looking!!!

Overall he is a very HAPPY and alert and healthy baby boy! He fusses a little right before nap time or if his tummy is hurting, but other than that, spends his time entertaining everyone with his vast array of faces and personalities. He hands down makes some of the funniest faces I have EVER seen a baby make (and no it's not just because I'm him his mother and find him so stinkin cute). These faces are out of this world funny. He is the master pouter and has other faces that can only be explained as "Titan".

He has also yet to develop a loud cry, it's a more polite cry (for the most part), like, "excuse me, when you have a second, could you please remove me from this situation..."

We heard such a cry last night as we were driving home from Aaron's B-day dinner at Paradise Bakery in Sandy. We were joking that what he was really saying in his baby language was:

"Ummm...there's been a mistake...I didn't sign up for this...can someone please get different parents, not these idiots....I mean seriously guys, I at least signed up for pants...If you only knew you would take me far away from here...PUUUHHHLLLLEEEAAASE....somebody? anybody?"

Now the story behind the pants:

As Broc had the day off from school yesterday for MLK day and The Lost premier is quickly approaching Broc and I spend the afternoon in a Lost marathon. Camped out in comfy clothes, watching one episode after another. We were also up late (very late) Sunday night getting episodes in, trying to get caught up before the 5th season starts.

So Sunday night Titan did not get put in PJ's and woke up the next morning in the onsie he had worn the day before...then he stayed in that onsie all day (the day went by WAY too quickly)...then it came time for me to get ready to head to the B-day dinner so I handed him off to Broc, who being a helpful daddy got the diaper bag all ready and even put Titan in his car seat and rocked him to sleep in it. Well we arrived at the restaurant and I lifted up the canopy cover...and there was Ty still in the same onsie with no pants or socks on!

Broc's excuse is he couldn't see pants anywhere so he gave up...Broc has no idea where to find anything baby related in our house apparently. My excuse is that by the time I was ready he was already covered up in his car seat so his outfit was totally forgotten.

All well! That's a day in the life of a new set of parents I guess. I promise that other than that, we really do take care of him!!! :)

Christmas Eve

Well, it's official. I am not a very good blogger. I thought I would have more time after the baby came and I was home more...but even with being home more and not working the eight to five...there still doesn't seem to be enough time (or real desire) for that matter to update this thing super often. Huh, maybe we all aren't meant to be bloggers! :)

In our lives this month we have been busy getting ready for Christmas (which is tomorrow) and spendings lots of time with friends and family.

Earlier this month Titan and I got together with Megan, Lucas, Melanie, and Tommy. We all went to Pei Wei for lunch and it was an adventure! Considering their ages (ha ha) all the little boys were fabulous! Titan did decid to launch his entire breakfast all over his carseat and self...but what can you do. It was a super fun lunch and so nice to hang out with other new mommies. :)

Titan and I also went out to lunch with Megan and Katerina whom I have not seen FOREVER!!! That was also a very fun lunch. It was nice to get together and catch up and hear what's new! (Next time I just need to work on being a little more on time!!!) I was over a half hour late! It was a crazy day for the little man and myself. Thankfully, they were very understanding!

Titan also got a chance this month to meet his Great Grandma and Grandpa Parker when they came from St. George to visit. They were SO nice and took us out to dinner at the Olive Garden...I am so sad though because we didn't take any pictures!!!

Other events have included going to watch Ada perform during and assembly at Alta (where Titan's favorite toy got a leading role and where Titan managed to sleep through a drum line), taking Titan to meet one of my favorit people in the world Nancy Lunak, visiting the Festival of Trees (Titan slept through it all) and other various family parties.

One of my favorite moments of this month though was when Titan and I got to be Mary and Baby Jesus for part of a sunday school lesson. Last sunday was an incredible experience that I will never forget. I was super hesitant and worried about being "Mary and Baby Jesus" just because I don't do dress up very well and I was afraid of Titan crying through his role...but in the end it was a truly spirit filled experiene. They had us walk in from the back while Silent Night was being sung by an amazing singer in our ward, and the second I walked into the room and started walking down the rows I couldn't stop crying. The spirit was so strong and I thought of Mary and how she must have felt as a new mother, the mother of Christ. Then I was thinking of how perfect my little baby is and how lucky I am to be his mother. I can't believe Heavenly Father trusts us with his perfect little ones! How lucky we are as women to be mother's and to be able to be partners with Heavenly Father in raising his children. Yeah, Dad's do their part too, but there's nothing like being a mother!!! :)

Well, I should go wrap some presents or shower or sleep! But before I do, here are some lyrics to a Josh Groban song that I heard for the first time last night...I absolutely fell in LOVE with the song!!!

Thankful-

Somedays we forget
To look around us
Somedays we can't see
The joy that surrounds us
So caught up inside ourselves
We take when we should give.

So for tonight we pray for
What we know can be.
And on this day we hope for
What we still can't see.
It's up to us to be the change
And even though we all can still do more
There's so much to be thankful for.

Look beyond ourselves
There's so much sorrow
It's way too late to say
I'll cry tomorrow
Each of us must find our truth
It's so long overdue

So for tonight we pray for
What we know can be
And every day we hope for
What we still can't see
It's up to us to be the change
And even though we all can still do more
There's so much to be thankful for.

Even with our differences
There is a place we're all connected
Each of us can find each other's light

So for tonight we pray for
What we know can be
And on this day we hope for
What we still can't see
It's up to us to be the change
And even though this world needs so much more

There's so much to be thankful for
